Hi! I’m Estrella Madia, a visual storyteller and diversity advocate based in Los Angeles. My storytelling journey began at 8 years old when I picked up my parents’ camera, and I haven’t stopped shooting since. After migrating from Venezuela to the United States, I got my BSC in Motion Picture Production and Marketing from the University of Miami and an MFA from USC's prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program.
My creative work spans short-form videos, social content creation, music videos, commercials, and photography. In the last few years, I have worked in TV Development, Film Production, Social Media Content Creation, Marketing, and Casting. I've produced engaging social content that resonates with viewers garnering over 300 million views. I've worked on campaigns for Euphoria, The Nevers, Sweet Life, and many more that have been published on HBO, Apple TV, Youtube, and Tiktok, receiving millions of likes and views.
My passion lies in telling the stories of Latinx and other marginalized communities with a particular interest in exploring women's experiences. In addition to my work behind the camera, I am also working on several projects that aim to advocate for and represent the stories of immigrants and undocumented individuals from the Latinx community. These are the stories that are often overlooked and I am passionate about changing that.
As a woman behind the camera, every project has my unique perspective, which guides every frame I capture, every story I choose to tell, and how I choose to tell it. With each project, I strive to create the stories I would have loved to see growing up, infusing the essence of my Venezuelan roots into the narrative.
